HERO is a Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) that offers a new approach to collect plastic bottles which would be sent to get recycled ultimately.

A RVM is a device that accepts used (empty) plastic bottles and returns a prize to the user. The recycler places the empty bottle into the receiving aperture. Once the bottle’s barcode is scanned, identified and determined to be a participating container, it is processed. Refillable containers are collected and sorted by hand to be brought back to the bottling company.

The management of the Omega Solutions 
consists of five members, namely Melisa Çilli, Oytun Güneş, Alper Gürlek, Ender Tınkır and Gökalp Urul, which are currently senior engineering students in Bilkent University, Ankara.
